English - a word is absent in the DB

Message par petyr » 02 Jan 2015 17:05

Game #37002 - I tried to make "unpair" from "pain + u + r", and I was said that the word was not in the database.
"Life is but a game" ("La vie n'est qu'un jeu"). What kind of game is your life?

And I'll never play games with 30 day limit again!

as "unpaired" is in the database, it looks strange indeed, but the base is the SOWPODS, and everybody is supposed to do with it. if I start to add or remove words, it will never end. Sparc, any idea about this?

Both TWL and SOWPODS (or CSW), the 2 official Scrabble dictionaries, don't contain the word "UNPAIR" but contain "UNPAIRED".
The online Merriam-Webster dictionary has no definition for "UNPAIR" ! (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/unpair)

So I would say it is not an english word.
